Strange tools

Thanks to everyone wishing me an happy birthday. It has been a fun one. Lots of fun gifts (and more to come in the next few days) and much fun to be had. I really enjoyed it today. Well... me and the missus are off to watch Fruits Basket. Later, fools!

It's been a while since I've been late...

Sorry that I've been late these last few days. I've decided to keep my computer at Catherine's place, so I usually get sidetracked doing engaged things and this has kind of taken the back seat for the last few days. ANYWAYS, Catherine and I just got our first part of our registry done at Target. It was really kind of lame when we looked online at what we had said that we wanted and found out that only 40% or so were available online. Has anybody else seen this happen"? what the deuce do we do? Fill us in if you have any news on that. Thanks!

Even scared the bird.

Yaaaaaaay, Tuesday! Calculus is still punching me in the face. I got a 76 on that test (which is satisfactory on account of that being 25 points higher than my best quiz so far) and I'm pretty happy that there are test corrections. Woo! Life is good. Especially because I made some killer egg rolls tonight. Booyah!

In other news, I'm sick. Blurgh... friggin' sinuses... laaaame!

Listen to his majestic rhythms...

As I type these words, I am finishing the installation of Worms Armageddon onto my laptop. Cost: $0. Youtube showed me how. Joy and jubilations!

As for other joys and jubilations, I took my calculus test today and I friggin' whomped the crud out of that thing! I nailed it! It was a pleasing feeling, as I have never had the pleasure of actually feeling good when I took a math test this semester, but this one was awesome. I felt very confident and I only skipped one problem because it was ridiculous. 1 skipped out of 26 problems is alright. Not the best, but good. So.. there you have it. Catherine made another totally sick cheesecake last night and it was marvelous (raspberry mousse, anyone?). I also met some totally awesome people out there in Rexburg tonight. Good folks that I plan to get to know better over the months and years that I'm in college. Gooood times.

Night folks! I have a cold to fight off! Lataz!

Man! That's gotta be pretty expensive!

I love this one to no end. I just love that there would, in fact, be a pirate scented perfume or cologne. It made me happy to see that picture when I was leafing through this book at the beginning. Gah! I love it!

Anyways, on to the day. Calculus continues to be insane as our teacher decided to show us a problem using implicit derivatives (getting the answer with X and Y on the same side of an equation) and it took 35 minutes and it looked like a billion times harder than I ever wanted a math problem to be. It was gross.

Eew.

Yay, Tuesday! Classes were really good today. Calculus was a lot better than it usually is and I'm happy that it's going well for all of us. I also think it's really funny that both of the Math Ed Majors are having the hardest time with the class. Meh. Such is life.

Also, don't watch "Date Night". I decree it to be a waste of time. Not impressed.

Careful careful careful...

And a fine new week to all of you! Catherine and I just got our pictures back on Sunday and we are most pleased. A good deal of them are on my facebook page, and are available for viewing. Given, my choice on there were a lot of the funnier ones. I like them. Announcements are heading out soon, folks. Look for the obligatory facebook page to start soon. Yay!

Heavy Load

Poor horse. It's sad that most of the pirates out there are overweight. Such is the way of things in the world.

I got to hang out with some good friends today (Kelly and Jennette Brown) and play Carcasonne, which is a totally awesome game that I recommend that all of you check out. It's like Settlers of Cataan, but like 800,000 times cooler. Way fun! That, and I got to play Punch Out for the Wii again. Good times, folks. Look it up. Catherine and I made a killer cheesecake too. It was an awesome Friday. No joke.

Is that the right word to name this guy?

Engagement photos today were more than awesome. We'll be getting them back in the near future. There were somewhere in the vicinity of 750. It was most excellent. Catherine continues to amaze me every day by just how totally awesome she is. Seriously. I'm a happy man every time I go to see her. It's a great thing I have.

So there! Enjoy Crafty Juan!

Sweet fancy Moses!

Look at that guy! Holy cow! What a guy! He's been doing his fair share of pillaging to afford all of that!

Well, as for me and my fiancee, we've been dealing with all of the beginnings of registering and apartment seeking. Yay for tedious work that has to be done either way. >:( Yeah... "fun". Well... enjoy for now. ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS ARE TOMORROW!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Funny... don't feel like it.

Ok. I know I know... it's not that hot. Unless you're in Florida (jerks!).

In recent news: I beat Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box yesterday night. If you haven;t played any of those games, I command you to stop what you are doing and to find the nearest DS and acquire a copy of it. It's wonderful and a very fun story. It's a good time just waiting to be had. I play it to unwind at nights and now I will have to find something else. Alas.

Also, Catherine and I are getting ready for engagement pictures come Thursday (weather providing) and it's gonna be fun! I'm crazy excited! I think I talked about this yesterday, but whatever. It's still gonna rock!

The Angry Sun

Special thank to a certain Eric Wolters for this one. He's a good man that helped me during a great deal of these pages. Good times.

Well... this weekend has come and gone and I had a most excellent Mother's day at Catherine's place. Delicious meals and happy times. Wedding preparations are moving along nicely and we're taking our engagement pictures come Thursday. It's gonna be good. Expect some sort of preview here when that all happens. Well... I'm exhausted, folks. Sleep well out there or enjoy your day or something. You know the drill!

Necessities

So, I was walking to my Calculus class today and I noticed this door with a bunch of comics on it. It was very fun to read them (some of which I already had through my web-comic-ing) until I noticed something quite excellent next to them.

A printer with the word "free" on top of it. It's a nice one. Also a fax machine. And a scanner. It's awesome. I'm a happy man. I'll let you know if it works. I haven't tried it out yet.

Lataz!

Don't look behind you...

Hey everybody! So, in related math stories I finally found out what I need to do to get moving in that class: stop worrying about things that you don't understand. It works wonders.

Laters!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Whoa, buddy! Settle down!

Red Robin is delicious, folks. I recommend that you all go as soon as you can.

In other news, I've been having some seriously hard times in my Calculus class with limits. Especially that of proving them. Today, however, I decided that I needed to go to the Math tutoring center in the library and get some clarification. It was not helpful when three of the people that I talked to there (The employees, mind you) said that either a: they did not know how to do it, or b: that their teachers said that they didn't need to know it.

My response: F*!@#

The return of Fugly Pete

Ah, blessed Fugly Pete. What a guy.

So, Calculus has been kicking me in the teeth lately. Thankfully, we had a HUGE recap today on the topic of Limits and stuff. It was a godsend as I was TOTALLY lost yesterday.

So there you go.

Juggling act

And a fine new week to you, folks! This last weekend has been a fun one. The reception was great as I saw a bunch of friends (3 to be exact) and we had some amazing times. Good catch up too. Catherine and I also realized that we will never live in Provo or Orem ever in our lives. Just too much going on. Lots of loud angry folks. We had some pretty insane driving experiences around Logan when the rain was nuts and the headlights on her car were less than helping. We were safe and had a surprisingly amazing time in Logan. Very VERY good times. it was a surprisingly good help to our relationship. Anyways, got back to Rexburg at 2:30 or so and had a jolly ol' time. Helped Catherine with her sunbeams in Primary and met a cool kid there: Aiden. Fun dude. Anyways, my love for Psych has doubled as Catherine and I started the 2md season and loved it. It's gonna be fun to finish it. Well... that's about it besides going crazy in my Calculus class. YAY ALGEBRA!!! Woo...

Talk atcha all later!
